Supermans Girlfriend was formed in 1979,on accident we were all at Bryce Parkers studio E.S.R.,just jammin and messin around,Jim was adlibb'n and I was just screechin out stuff like "I Wish I Could Sing" and" Fuck Me I'm Lois"...and thus formed Supermans Girlfriend.The band was plagued with the likes of:Jim Nabors(lead singer),David Townsend(the only guitar),James Flory 3'rd(Bass Guitar),Doug Townsend(Drums),Will Clay(Sax),and yours truly(Erin).We played in Austin,Houston,and all round Dallas.Oh and one gig in Killeen,Texas which was totally a military town,so our audience was a bunch of army guys and yours truly felt like the choice cut of meat of the day,we played that gig with The Nervebreakers.Eventually David Townsend got kicked out of the band cause he'd get so drunk he could'nt stand up much less play his guitar.Enter Paul Quigg,Paul did'nt really fit in but he was a much better guitar player and he was good at gettin us booked ...and gettin pretty good money too.God he and I would argue cause I could'nt carry The Souxie tune Carcass by myself!!!! Well DUHHH.I thought my fuckin lungs would explode! The most memorable gig was at Rock Island in Houston,I think we were booked with The Vomit Pigs,We had a dance contest to give an E.S.R. lp away well I picked these 2 really punk lookin chicks,Then we were startin the next song and Jim started to loose his pants on purpose,well these 2 girls started rippin his pants from his body,little did they know his girlfriend Chit Cherie(VDegenerates) was in the crowd and those were her pants...so our next song started with myself screechin out KICK HER ASS!!...and the fight was on,It was Great.I was always the one fightin with Cherie it was fun to see her fightin somebody else!Well finally Jim quit the band and I was bummed,Jim was my crutch ,now I was gonna have to go it alone....SCAREY.We may have lasted another year or so I dunno,I had been with our drummer for about four years and we were fightin...The band was gettin sour.Our last gig was at The Hot Klub in Dallas,Texas...probably 81 or 82.It was also my last gig with Doug.We all went on to other things mine was David Hill(N.C.M.)but hey thats another SHOW!!
